Is Mould the New Asbestos?
Mould in buildings is seriously compromising indoor air quality and the detrimental effects are often under-rated, says Prof Robyn Phipps, School of Engineering and Advanced Technology, Massey University. Forty-five per cent of homes in New Zealand have visible mould and schools have bacteria levels second only to sewerage treatment plants, she told delegates at the recent 2014 FMANZ Summit.
